UPDATE: Oregon will end mask requirements for even unvaccinated people when 70% of adults have at least one dose, governor says

Gov. Kate Brown held a press conference Friday to discuss Oregon’s ongoing response to COVID-19, with new information about how the state will lift coronavirus restrictions.

Last month, Brown announced that she would lift most restrictions when 70% of Oregon adults are at least partially vaccinated. But details have remained a bit murky.

She also previously announced that fully vaccinated Oregonians could ditch their face masks in most public settings, aligning the state with new federal guidance. But many businesses have been unwilling to check the vaccination status of customers, leaving most people still wearing masks to comply with state rules while shopping indoors.
