YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown State University reported 14 new coronavirus cases on Monday according to the university’s dashboard.

Of the new cases, 12 were reported by students who live off-campus and two cases were reported by students living on-campus.

According to the dashboard, the university has reported 581 cases from Aug. 1, 2020 through March 13. Of these, 527 are students and 54 are employees.

Of those students, 465 reported they lived off-campus; 59 of them live on-campus. Another three said they were never on campus.

YSU has updated the dashboard to also include results of asymptomatic voluntary surveillance tests conducted through CVS and the university.

As of Monday, four people tested positive out of 98 asymptomatic voluntary surveillance tests.

The dashboard presents weekly case totals among students and employees, taken from local health department data and individual reports to the university, and will be updated on Mondays.

The YSU Office of Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety has established contact tracing and support protocols in the event that a member of that campus community  has tested positive.

Students and employees should notify the university by completing the online form.
